A Razor, A Shiny Knife dinner and ‘New York’ Delft

09-razor-shiny-knife-1Super-creative-ambitious culinary salon/event collective (phew!) A Razor, A Shiny Knife is throwing a pull-out-all-stops dinner event in conjunction with the upcoming New York City Wine and Food Festival.  The dinner takes place on Saturday October 10.  You can find details here

The theme for the evening is ‘Locally Sourced’, where every aspect of the event -except the food- will be sourced from local artists, designers and craftsmen.  A bit of a twist on the common perception of ‘locally sourced’.  I like it.  To that end A Razor, A Shiny Knife has asked David Alhadeff, owner of The Future Perfect in Brooklyn, to curate the events’ ‘hardware’ as his store features many local designers.  David then contacted us and we are now happy to announce that our ‘New York’ Delft dinnerware will be used to serve the evenings’ dinner.

Because of my experience designing restaurants and working in restaurant kitchens I love to see where great food and great creativity intersect.  So I am thrilled that we have been asked to be a part of the event.  From all of the buzz about ARASK’s past events it seems obvious that the evening will definitely be culinarily ambitious, super creative and full of fun and surprises.  I am looking forward to it.
