‘Consumption’ Plate 4: Obese Population & Undernourished Population
Plate 4 – Obese Population and Undernourished Population
A plate of two graphs. One graph showing the population percentage of each country that is considered obese, having a Body Mass Index of 30 or greater. The other graph showing the percentage of each country that is considered undernourished, that is, the number of people who fall below a minimum energy requirement. Minimum energy requirement is estimated by sex and age group based on a reference body weight. This requirement varies by country, but typically averages between 1750 and 2030 kilocalories per person daily.
