Introducing the ‘Consumption’ collection of porcelain dinnerware

When we sit down to eat a meal, rarely do we think about our food as the global resource that it is and how our consumption relates to what others around the world eat.  Each of the four dinner plates in this collection is decorated with graphs denoting various aspects of our global consumption.  What at first glance looks like visually pleasing geometric designs upon closer examination is revealed to be a compilation of data pertaining to food.  From the availability of nutritional resources and its per capita consumption to the effects on our health that are produced, the range of information is delivered in a way that is easily accessible and fascinating in its implications.
